How can I showcase my Monday.com board on screens?

RocketScreens makes it easy to display your Monday.com boards on digital screens, allowing you to keep your team updated in real-time. Follow these steps to integrate your Monday.com board with RocketScreens.

Steps Overview:

  1. Create an Account on Monday.com: Sign up for a new account on Monday.com and log in.
  2. Access the Developer Section: Navigate to the developer section from your profile dropdown menu.
  3. Create a New App: Start a new application in the Developer Center.
  4. Fill in Basic Information: Provide the necessary details for your app and generate a Client ID and Client Secret.
  5. Configure OAuth: Set up OAuth settings, assign read-only scopes, and use the redirect URL from RocketScreens.
  6. Create a Read-Only Account: Create a read-only account in Monday.com and invite the user via email.
  7. Integrate with RocketScreens: Enter your Client ID, Client Secret, and domain on the RocketScreens integration page, and complete the authentication process.

Step 1: Create an Account on Monday.com

  1. Sign Up:
    • Go to Monday.com and sign up for an account if you haven't already.
  2. Log In:
    • Once your account is created, log in.

Step 2: Access the Developer Section

  1. Open Developer Section:
    • In the top-right corner, click on your profile picture or initials.
    • From the dropdown menu, select Developers to access the developer section.

Step 3: Create a New App

  1. Create App:
    • In the Developer Center, click on My Apps in the left-hand menu.
    • Click on Create app to start a new application.

Step 4: Fill in Basic Information

  1. App Information:
    • Enter a name for your app.
    • Click on the 'Create App' button to generate your unique Client ID and Client Secret.

Step 5: Configure OAuth

  1. Set Up OAuth:
    • Navigate to the OAuth section in your app settings.
    • Assign read-only scopes for board, workspaces, and me.

    • Use the redirect URL provided by RocketScreens on their integration page. This is necessary for OAuth authentication.

    • Save your OAuth settings.

 

Step 6: Create a Read-Only Account

  1. Invite Members:
    • The administrator will have to create a read-only account by clicking on the profile icon or initials.
    • Click on Invite Members.
    • Fill in the email address and select Viewer (read-only).

    • An email will be sent to the specified email address.
    • Click on the accept invitation link in the email and create a new password for the read-only account.

Step 7: Integrate with RocketScreens

  1. RocketScreens Integration Page:
    • Go to the RocketScreens Monday.com integration page.
  2. Enter Credentials:
    • You will see fields for Integration name, Domain, Client ID, Client Secret, Read-Only Account Email and Password.
    • Enter the Client ID and Client Secret you obtained from Monday.com.
    • For the Domain, use the format: <username>'s-team.monday.com. Replace <username> with your Monday.com username.

 

  1. Complete Authentication:
    • After filling in the details, you will be required to complete the authentication process and authorize the permission scopes.

Step 8: Create Monday.com App

    1. Navigate to the Apps tab and click on "New App".

    2. Proceed to select "Monday Boards".

  3. Create App:

         1. Fill in the App name.

         2. Select the Monday.com Integration.

         3. Select Monday.com Workspace.

         4. Select the Monday.com Board which you want to show on Screen.

The Board will take a moment to render. Use the preview icon to see how your Monday Board will appear on your TV. You can then organize this App into a Channel and configure your TV setup. For more detailed guidance, refer to other articles in our Knowledge Base.
